Liz Hilton is a designer, entrepreneur, and 3D knit innovator. Liz founded KNITit in 2015 in response to the global need for customized 3D knit innovation without the production commitment. What Liz discovered was there are many industries wanting to utilize 3D knitting but have not had the opportunity. Now KNITit is that opportunity. Liz started out in the fashion industry in her hometown NYC. She attended F.I.T. Fashion Institute of Technology and the Politecnico di Milano in Italy. She also completed certification courses in Germany and Japan where she also worked for Stoll, the leading manufacture of CNC flat bed weft knitting machines. The KNITit studio is located in the heart of downtown Grand Rapids and serves as a resource for big companies, small companies, and individuals looking to invest in the 3D knitting movement. KNITit has now grown to a team of three knit experts including Alexis Troxell and Tracey Weisman. The KNITit team works hard to push the limits of 3D knitting technology.
